This isn’t a hooking blog today. This is a vent space for me today.
I’ve been incredibly irritable for two days. I’m post menopausal. My hot flashes come one on top of the other, I’ve got cold sores all over my lips. That’s a new one that came four months ago… and everything anyone does rankles me: People being mean, people being kind, people needing from me, people giving generously to me, people’s bad habits, people’s good habits.
I’m sure the fault lies in this bag of bones but I’d like it to have an outside reason.
I’m a Jesus girl and the last thing I want to do is sit still with Jesus and meditate on the why.
Which means that’s probably best for me.
So, I googled Bible verse on irritability and the results were verse on anger (not the same) and bitterness (not the same either, thank you ). AND they were compiled by men. Which also pissed me off. Let me put off kilter hormones in your brains and cold sores on your lips and then I dare you to write your pithy messages.
Double dare.
Ok, I’m done.
Here’s me enjoying a chilly snowshoe with hubby before irritability. BI.

Oh boy , brings back memories going thru that phase too ....it does go away , but I still have those damn hot flashes !
Keep going outside & enjoy the fresh air , to me that's the best medicine . Take Care
Most women have been there, and it down right sucks!!! My brain was muddled too. I remember having a hot flash while snow shoeing with a friend I started pulling off my layers and sitting in the snow she thought I was having a heart attack. I am so sorry you are going through that, and no words help.

I have no words to help, but am hoping the irritableness goes away for you soon. Janice
This will likely piss you off as well, but this cracked me up. I'm sure it's not funny to you, though, so for that I apologize. I have been irritable for a long, long, time but it has nothing to do with menopause. And, thankfully, no cold sores. Sometimes (most times) frank honesty is so very refreshing. Hope this passes quickly for you. ~Robin~
Been there, done that and I never want to do it again. It sucks, sucks, sucks.
If getting old is a remedy then I'm glad I'm finally old.
You have my sympathy.
I'd give you a hug but it would be too hot.
Julia
That’s funny Julia! Yes a distance hug!
Honesty is refreshing and irritability has gotten me there. I feel a smidge better today but not still wanting to see people. It’s helpful that women know what I’m talking about. Thanks Robin
♥️
Cathy! Worse than me! Woah. That image is hilarious
Gonna force a walk this morning as you are right, it does help
Been there, thankfully most of it is gone. The constant irritability reduced to not suffering fools easily. The hot flashes only occasionally appear now, now triggered by hot rooms or if too many blankets on the bed. One thing I can recommend is constructive destruction. Do you have anything that needs taken apart? Hammering can be quite therapeutic when you're not trying to hit a nail.
