Today the snows kept coming. Walking our elderly Scottie across the park was like treading on a moonscape. Untouched, quiet and breathtaking. I keep these things in mind when I look at the months of daunting Winter ahead. As my neighbor said, "You must get out in it or it will get to you." Wise words from a relocated Australian! I don't ski but I will strap on the snowshoes from time to time and brave it. Do you live in a colder climate? What gets you through Winter?
Dear hubby is home with IBS flare-up. I put chicken soup ingredients (more subdued ones) into our new Instant Pot and put it on the Slowcook setting. The thing is a wonder. Do you have one? Is it a fad that will go the way of the bread machine?
Here is a photo of one of the two mittens I hooked. I stitched a stiff piece of wool to the back and tucked another ornament into the mitten. Kind of a two-fer. You can get a glimpse of that ornament, a birdhouse, in the lower right corner. It was carved by a local artisan from New Brunswick. I'm passionate about New Brunswick talent!
My goal is to get a few patterns up on an online marketplace this year. When the kids were small I sold via Ebay and it went well but I tired of drawing the patterns out on linen. I think PDF sales are the way to go: cheaper for the buyer and easier for me. A wandering blog today, but that is where my brain is meandering. Which reminds me, as far as indoor activities, reading hooking blogs with a cup of tea is a great way to spend a Winter's day too. May your day be filled with goodness!
