Here's a photo of our Lily, hunkered down in a wool bin. And here is the photo of my wool room. It's like showing a stranger my underwear drawer so please be kind and appreciate my vulnerability.
You can see the crates and plastic stacks in the corner so organizing was once a thought.
Built-in shelves for the materials were also on my "to do list" but way led on to way...
Ten years have passed since we moved in and now we are downsizing. I see no reason to organize when I'm just going to pack it into boxes to move. Do you? I can sort as I pack.
And in my defense, the Wool Room is on the third floor and we rarely venture up.
When we moved here from North Carolina, a company did the packing. I had crammed all my wool into several closets and I had the movers box it all over two days while my hubby was at work. He had no idea of the proportions of my stash until we got here. By then he was too culture shocked to care. Now he is too diplomatic to mention The Wool Room on the Third Floor.
He's a keeper, and as we said in NC, "bless his heart."

Kimm, I don't think you need to be embarrassed at all with the rug hookers who will read your post. We've been there and some of us (uh, me) are still in a state of chaos when it comes to the wool room. Except mine is on the 2nd floor.
Hey, look at all your friends who are following you now! Good going.
Yup. A keeper for sure...lol!
It is so hard to keep wool organized.
Love the picture of Lily. When I had Ellie the Jack Russell, she used to bury bones in my wool baskets. It was heartbreaking to find them after she went to the Rainbow Bridge.
I would show you my underwear drawer before I showed you my wool room. Husband is very forgiving about it but then he has a full standing shop for his tools and things.
Good luck moving my husband said if we ever move they have to purchase everything but our underwear. Pack our underwear and leave ha ha ha
Cathy
I have both fabric and wool stashed in every cabinet and basket. Wish I had a third floor to hide some...but then I might buy more. LOL Cute kitty! Janice
The cat looks rather nice in the wool... At least you can see your wool. I had three full large totes of wool and every time I wanted some I had to go dig in there and I would mess it all up. I decided to fill two large garbage and donate them to the Salvation Army. Hopefully some new rug hooker got the jackpot.
