Just unpacking my trip purchases...
I had a box shipped and waiting for me at my parents’ home— it was from The Wool Studio. Be still my heart.
The green plaid is “Guacamole” and is particularly lovely.
(Above): antique frog which will hold my rug hooks, antique rolling pin (Va.)for Cmas shortbread, and a small Amish made broom, yet to be freed from its binding, which is perfect for de-fuzzing a freshly hooked rug.
And this gourd birdhouse from Pa. ‘Twas hand painted by an elderly local and a steal at $19.
Well, I’m stumped as to why my lettering isn’t centering... anyway..
I also made some purchases at The Emporium, a huge antiques mall in my hometown of Strasburg, Va. if you’re ever there, do visit!
I love my brush and it works oh so well. What was the name of the top piece of wool from Rebecca? It looks like there are faint red lines running thru it???
Cotton Cloud is that top piece. I haven’t hooked with it yet but it is creamy sweet! Paid under $4 for my brush. Couldn’t believe that.
You found wonderful souvenirs on your vacation ! Love Sandy's pattern of the Antique Shop !
love all of your goodies but I really want that rolling pin!! I have been wanting one but not ready to pay the price.
I almost purchased one in Germany. I’m glad I waited. This was $24 and I’ll give it loads of use!
Ooooohhh such fun treasures!! I would never hace thought of using a brush like that fo a rug...bet it works great...now to find one LOL. And I LOVE that birdhouse! I have a penchant for gourd birdhouses of any kind, but mine are all plain. Will you display it inside or out?? Please do show us the rest of the treasures you found at the antique mall!! ~Robin~
I’m so taken with the design on this gourd house that I don’t want it outside. I had bought it for the birds though. Yes, I’ll take more purchase pics!

Welcome home & happy hooking with your yummy new wools.
I am not a bright wool person, but I love using little bits of the guacamole wool.
That’s funny- I’d never have described the wool as a bright. 😊 I’m using a lot of it in my rug right now and it’s a great grass. I bet it’s a good seller
