The cross stitch piece is done!
Save the framing.
This piece was featured in a Pinterest post as
a freebie but then I couldn’t “refind” it.
Imagine my surprise when I did find it on Etsy being
sold by the real artist. 😞
I emailed her and explained then she accepted my payment
after the fact.
A lesson to myself not to accept free at face value.
If you want to stitch this it is available from
the talented designer
VerbenaCS on Etsy and it is called “Salem.”
The cost was less than $7.
We still have not found a home to buy so we’ve rented
an apartment in the home of a friend for the middle
of August on...
until we find a home to buy.
This weekend we leave our rv resort for a friend’s cottage
downriver.
Temps here are very hot and humid— by anyone’s standards
and we’ve been staying cool by tethering innertubes to river rocks
and floating. Lucy dog sits on them too!
Hoping this finds you taking comfort in creativity and creation.

AWWW, hope you will share a photo with us of Lucy hitching a ride with one of you. Sadly sometimes there isn't a 'free' lunch even tho the sign says so.
I like your way of staying cool, but it would be hard to hook in an innertube...lol! I, too, would love to see a pic of Lucy.
Good luck with the house hunting.
I'm sure you made the cross stitch designers day!
It was nice to let her know what was going on with her pattern. sounds like the good life floating around. Enjoy your friends house.

Lovely Halloween stitchery! Hope you find a home soon.Janice
Thanks Saundra! I’ll post a pic soon
I don’t know when I’ll get my wools out again- it’s been a long hot summer!
The river and rv make covid seem remote. It’s a welcome haven indeed
I know you like Halloween too. Such a fun time and many fun patterns
Ooooo....I love this!! Definitely going on my dance card....thank you for the info on the designer.... I am quite leery of "free" designs unless it is being posted by the actual designer whom I know...so many "pirates" out there...and I know too many designers personally and know how hard they work at their art to not make a rightful living from it. Floating in the river sounds refreshing...although it has turned downright chilly in these parts. August is usually our hottest month, but we have started it with highs in the mid 60's and lows in the 40's already. I foresee a fire in the fireplace tonight to take the chill off. Stay well and cool ~ Robin~
