We're mellllllltttttting!
At last!
It's been months since we saw our driveway
but it's still there.
I was beginning to wonder.
New Brunswick's melt brings threat of flood
but it's too early to tell what will happen.
This morning I lit my Gable House Goodes candle called
"This Old House"- for ambiance.
(I think it smells like smoky cornbread).
Then I pulled a few loops.
This pattern (Pat Cross) I am hooking up in a #6.
Boy #6 is much slower than my preferred #8.
I was too lazy to change my cutter blade when I started
but I think I may change it yet.
And speaking of Pat Cross-- she wrote a couple
of pattern books years ago and I haven't heard her name
since then.
Anyone know anything about her?
April is just about here.
Welcome Sweet Spring Lady...

First of all, as I mentioned before I can't respond to your comments to my blog but did want to mention that #6 is way too small for me too but was needed in that instance.
No way I could live in an area which receives so much snowfall each winter. It is bad enough with the amounts we get here in Delaware USA since I have to shovel it myself.
Pat Cross used to comment to my blog and she probably still visits my blog but haven't heard from her. Perhaps since you mentioned her name she will reply to your post. I have both of her books, hooked just one of her rugs but should draw out others. But there's so many rugs I want to hook and just have one lifetime, lol. You are doing her pattern justice.
6 cut is way too small for me. My smallest blade is an 8 and I don't even like hooking with that. My favorite is 8 1/2. Amazing the difference between an 8 and 8 1/2!
Happy to hear your snow is melting. Fingers crossed there is no flooding.

Thanks Cathy! I think I’d cry if I saw fresh snow falling!

Ten inches? Ugh! Our sidewalks are pretty bare. That’s how I gauge springs presence. On my home state of NC I hear that the azaleas are blooming!
